About Celene Ibrahim

Dr. Celene Ibrahim specializes in Islamic studies and women's studies. She is the author of Women and Gender in the Qur'an (forthcoming from Oxford University Press, Sept. 2020), and the editor of One Nation, Indivisible: Seeking Liberty and Justice from the Pulpit to the Streets (Wipf & Stock Publishers, 2019). Dr. Ibrahim holds a PhD in Arabic and Islamic civilizations from Brandeis University, a master’s degree from Harvard Divinity School, and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. She has served as the Muslim Chaplain at Tufts University and is currently on the faculty of Groton School in the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy.
