2008 Wabash Center Workshop Series Teaching College Introductory Religion Courses From November 2007 to November 2008, the Wabash Center hosted a series of workshops at regional guild society meetings across the United States and Canada. These daylong workshops emphasized collaborative, hands-on work, and small group discussion on aligning the goals, design, and assessment of college introductory religion courses. Follow-up Department Grants Participants were eligible to apply for a non-competitive $2000 Introductory Course Department Grant to host a workshop on teaching introductory courses at their school or in their region. Teaching and Learning in College Introductory Religion Courses, by Barbara Walvoord (Blackwell, 2008).
