Lilly Endowment Renews Support
Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded a new grant of 6.2 million dollars to fund Wabash Center programming through 2018. This is the ninth consecutive Lilly Endowment grant supporting Wabash Center since 1996, totaling nearly $40 million dollars.
The renewed funding will allow the Wabash Center to continue programs in support of faculty in the fields of religious and theological studies in higher education:
Workshops and colloquies that gather small groups of faculty for a week at a time over two successive summers to reflect together on our common craft and vocation of teaching
Grants awarded to institutions for projects that gather faculty to discuss particular teaching issues or support creative and empowering teaching culture
Consultants to lead workshops and faculty retreats and on-campus conferences
Teaching Theology and Religion, an international, peer-reviewed, journal on teaching
Resources in support of teaching religion and theological studies in higher education
