- Paleography:
Paleography is the study and scholarly interpretation of ancient written documents.
The study of ancient philosophy, like the study of ancient religion,
depends on the work of paleographers to produce (from ancient and medieval
manuscipts) the best approximations we can come up with of the original texts
of our ancient authors. Here is a brief sampling of material on the problems
of textual interpretation and criticism.
