Directions: Take 107 (Cedar Swamp Rd.) north out of Hicksville. Turn right at Wheatley Rd. church is at end of Rd. Discussion about Islam.
1. From Hofstra, Long Island: Take Northern Parkway west to 188th st. exit
2. After exiting take first left (this will take you over the parkway).
3. After crossing parkway turn left onto McLaughlin St. (note that you do not want the immediate left back onto the parkway)
4. Go two stoplights to Palo Alto St. and turn right
5. Mosque is on left in second block (#8671) (school is on right)
6. Try and find parking (if you are religious, prayer may help in this regard)
1. Women will be separate from men after we enter. Men will stay with Mr. Naim Ahmad, our guide. There will be other guests there, so don't worry about what to do. Prof. Hodge (anthropology) will be there as well.
2. There is no formal dress code, but try to dress conservatively with respect. We will be sitting on the floor.
3. All of us will have to take off our shoes upon entering (they have nice warm carpets).
4. We will have an opportunity to ask questions.
5. Bring a small notebook to jot down your observations and make note of any questions you have.
6. This is a religious service and dinner to which we have been invited as guests. Please act respectfully in this regard.
